focus and daily commitment - a good role model

“Lessons with Mr. Graham taught our children focus and daily commitment to practicing and advancing a skill. He's a good role model for the kids as a professional musician. Mr. Graham is able to teach music online quite effectively, and the whole family loved participating in the spring recital, both performing and listening to others. It was a lovely event, a bright spot during the isolation of Covid-19 lockdown.”

a creative approach, gentle manner and precise technique

“Our two boys age 8 and 11 studied with Ayden for 2 years, starting first on piano and then our younger switched to guitar. I witnessed the growth of our sons' genuine curiosity about music making and greater musical expression in their playing. I appreciate Ayden’s creative approach, making adjustments to meet each kid’s temperament. He’s got a gentle manner and precise technique. He’s great to work with, flexible and multi-faceted in his approach!”

his passion and appreciation for music has transferred to our daughter and we are eternally grateful

“Our daughter started piano with Ayden at age 5 and she is now 7. What we’ve observed in learning the piano is her focus, confidence, and cognitive flexibility as well as the growth in her fine motor and writing abilities. There was some nervousness around how much she would learn virtually, but not only does she continue to improve, we appreciate the flexibility of the virtual lessons. We have truly enjoyed working with Ayden, his passion and appreciation for music has transferred to our daughter and we are eternally grateful for that.”

Ayden is able to connect with students on a personal level that allows them to be comfortable and confident and encourages their enthusiasm to learn a new instrument.

“Ayden is reliable and professional. I have loved watching my boys grow as musicians under Ayden's guidance. My 11 year old son developed a true love of music, of playing the piano. He often cannot just walk past the piano, but has to pause to play a little more! My 15 year old son, switched from piano to guitar during the pandemic and his weekly lesson was a highlight. Ayden is able to connect with students on a personal level that allows them to be comfortable and confident and encourages their enthusiasm to learn a new instrument. ”

Online lessons with a patient teacher – more than I remember learning when I was that age.

“Our seven-year-old daughter takes piano with Ayden [...] Our usual lessons are after school on campus at St. Paul's Episcopal School in Oakland, but he has moved to teaching via Zoom and it has gone well for us. I've been listening in on lessons and he is very patient and teaching her more than I remember learning when I was that age.”
